MEET THOMAS

Leadership for our Community

Thomas Kutz is a lifelong third-generation Cumberland County resident. He attended Lower Allen and Rossmoyne Elementary, Allen Middle, and Cedar Cliff High Schools. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Grove City College in under three years, Thomas worked as a Congressional staffer for the House Ways and Means Committee as the Committee passed the largest tax cut in American history. He then went on to serve as the Policy Director for a U.S. Senate candidate before attending Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Thomas worked his way through law school and serves as a Policy Director in the Pennsylvania State Senate.  Thomas was elected to a four-year term on the Lower Allen Township Board of Commissioners in 2019.

Thomas announced in February 2022 that he is seeking the Republican nomination for State Representative in Pennsylvania's 87th State House District. The newly drawn 87th District includes: Part of Cumberland County, consisting of parts of Lower Allen and South Middleton Townships, all of Monroe Township, Upper Allen Township, Silver Spring Township, and Mt. Holly Springs Borough.

Thomas believes that at its core, government has a responsibility to protect its citizens and provide emergency services, educate its youth, and support critical infrastructure. He believes that governments should act within their means and avoid raising taxes.  Thomas is running for state representative to bring principled leadership to Harrisburg and preserve our Cumberland County values for the next generation.

Thomas and his fiancée Allie live in Lower Allen Township with their golden doodle, Camden.
