Kutz Discusses Importance of School Safety for Community

LOWER ALLEN, PA -- Lower Allen Township Commissioner Thomas Kutz discussed the importance of school safety at the Board of Commissioners meeting on January 27.


Kutz instructed the Public Safety Director to present information and materials about school resource officers and the feasibility of adding a school resource officer at Cedar Cliff High School in Lower Allen Township. Kutz indicated a willingness to work with the West Shore School Board and its administrators to improve school safety.


Kutz expressed a desire for a wholistic approach to school safety by including school officials and state legislators in the discussion. Kutz shared that Senator Mike Regan (PA-31) is willing to host a roundtable forum with school and township personnel to discuss school safety.


Thomas Kutz is a third-generation Lower Allen Township resident and former Congressional staffer. He is the youngest Commissioner in Lower Allen Township and is serving a four-year term through the end of 2023.
